Who does the inspecting
The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) inspects food establishments across Clark County: the Strip, downtown, and the suburbs alike.
How results are graded
SNHD uses demerit-based letter grades: an inspection's demerit total maps to A, B, or C, and serious or repeat problems can escalate to closure — shown as an X in district records, which CleanPlate displays as CLOSED. Letter grades are posted at the establishment. Grades shown on CleanPlate are the district's own letters, exactly as issued.
Reading it on CleanPlate
Every Nevada restaurant page on CleanPlate shows the establishment's current standing, its full inspection history with dates, and a link to the official agency behind the record. Grades are shown exactly as reported; where the source publishes no summary grade, the derived status is labeled as derived. Establishments with no inspection in over two years are treated as likely closed and excluded from search.
